About Us

The Sechelt Farmers’ and Artisans’ market is a seasonal market located in the heart of Sechelt. The market is a site for farmers and artisans to sell their goods directly to the local population. As such, the SFAM is a significant contributor to the local economy, and serves the health and happiness of the community. The SFAM was formed in 1993 by six farmers with a desire to sell their goods directly to consumers. Today, the SFAM has upward of 40 vendors, and is expanding into areas of sustainability, and food equity.

Our mission is to contribute to a vibrant local economy in a sustainable and just way. We wish to provide space for consumers to access handmade and homegrown products.

We value a healthy community, a resilient local economy, and a just and equitable food sector.
